Ceramics produced during the Fall 2020 semester through Martha Sullivan's Hand Building with Clay class. We used a variety of methods and were encouraged to explore our own interests, utilizing inspiration from other sources and sketches to help plan our ideas.
Inspiration
I drew inspiration from everything around me and frequently sketched small ideas in my sketchbook at all hours. As far as ceramic artists go, George Ohr and Christopher Dresser were two artists whose work I kept returning to throughout the semester, although no pieces were directly inspired by either of them.
